Block Viruses and Spam to Your Email Server The email filtering benefits of SpeedSpan's SpanMail service for internet users can also protect your in-house email server.

Your email messages can be detoured through our Surge Wall filtering service where viruses will be blocked, as well as a large amount of spam.

Viruses Messages are scanned for viruses using filters that are updated hourly. You do not want any messages rejected by this filter. Note that viruses are not the same as phishing attempts. Emails asking you to go to a website to enter secret information do not contain viruses, and all users must be extremely wary of any such request.

Spam Most email servers are hit with more spam messages than legitimate messages. Your server will not bog down processing these bogus messages if they are screened on our server first. Ordinary messages are available to your server - which can pull them over as often as you like. And any messages that might be spam can either be delivered to your server normally, or marked as probable spam before delivery, or they can be held on our server for your screening there.
